The World of Ramat Home :

At Ramat Home, we believe today’s trash is tomorrow’s treasure. Our mission is to divert non-biodegradable waste from landfills, transforming it into beautiful, functional, and durable lifestyle pieces.

The Origin:
A Designer’s Dilemma

Ramat Home began with a designer’s itch to create something deeply personal. After eleven years of professional interior design practice, I felt a growing disconnect between the industry’s consumption and my own values. Trained at CEPT University, I had long been drawn to the potential of repurposed materials, but I wanted to go further: to build a studio where the “waste” of modern life became the raw material for design.

It started with a pile of delivery bags. In an era of ten-minute grocery deliveries, the packaging began to overwhelm my home. Rather than throwing it away, I started experimenting, and discovered that combining discarded plastic and cardboard with traditional papier-mâché techniques could create something resilient, waterproof, and structurally sound.

The Process: From Bucket to Bespoke
Our studio philosophy is simple: if it’s in our house, it’s not going to the landfill.

The evolution was organic. We began by packing empty buckets and cardboard boxes with everything we could find: shampoo bottles, cream containers, shrink wrap, plastic scraps. These trash-filled cores, reinforced with layers of handcrafted papier-mâché and occasionally accented with reclaimed wood or metal, became the foundation for our chairs, lamps, and décor.

What began as a way to clear our own conscience has grown into a rigorous design process. From our signature Topple Throne to our custom puff cushions filled with textile waste, every piece we make is a testament to the untapped potential of what the world calls garbage.

Join the Movement

Piles of waste are becoming an all-too-common reality. Ramat Home is our stand against that. We’re more than a design brand; we’re a community of like-minded people working to preserve our environment, one piece of furniture at a time.

We’re looking for collaborators, creators, and conscious consumers to join us. If you believe we can turn this cycle of waste into something beautiful, we want to hear from you.

Let’s prove that waste isn’t the end of the line. It’s the beginning of something new.
